Nottingham Building Society reveals record agency business
Nottingham Building Society’s estate agency network has reported a 30% monthly surge in sales for May.
The society claims that it is a 70% increase on the year and the highest performance the 15-strong network has seen since September 2007.
Arnold, Hucknall, Wollaton and West Bridgford are fuelling the surge for the network, which is located throughout Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.
Graham Lang, operations manager of The Nottingham’s estate agency business, says: “There is definitely a feeling among certain people that now is the right time to sell and trade up.
“Typically, this group of people are relatively secure in their jobs, have the financial means to raise a deposit and are keen to re-enter the market so they can buy a home at an attractive price.”
