Ex-Spicerhaart agent tasked with new launch

Nathan Reeks has been drafted into Properts to create an agency division.

Reeks (pictured, far right) was headhunted to join the Magnor, Monmouthshire-based firm to help create a one-stop-property-shop. He joins from Spicerhaart agency brand Darlows, where he rose through the ranks to become a senior manager.

He claims that he and his newly-appointed, three-strong agency team has sold over 14 instructions since launch. He says: “If we can operate in a recession, we can operate anywhere.”

The South Wales firm was founded by Piers Propert and his wife and managing partner Jane as a law firm. With the recruitment of Reeks, the 12-strong team, which also includes former Convey Group solicitor Gemma Monday, now offers services relating to home sales and purchases, property law, wills, inheritance tax planning and matrimonial matters.

The firm plans to open further offices and a lettings division next year.
