Chesterton Humberts completes mass hiring spree

Chesterton Humberts has lured a raft of new staff from rival agencies as part of its recent recruitment drive.

Simon Jacobs (pictured) joins the London-headquartered agency's Marlborough office as sales director. He has six years' experience in the property industry, most recently at Cluttons and a local buying agency.

Jacobs, who has also seven years' service in the British Army’s Blues and Royals regiment, is actively involved with charity fundraising, which last month included an 875-mile London to Edinburgh bike ride to raise money for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.   

Jacob is joined at the agency by Jeremy Knight, who has been appointed branch manager of the Tetbury branch. He joins from Hamptons with more than 20 years' experience in the property industry.

Simon Buckman has been appointed associate director at Chesterton Humberts Hampstead.  The Chelsea School of Art graduate has around 20 years' experience in the London residential property market, having worked previously for Knight Frank and Benham & Reeves.

On the lettings side, John Humphries has been promoted to associate director of Chesterton Humberts’ Chelsea lettings department. He worked at Foxtons, John D Wood and Curzon before joining Chesterton in 2006. He joins Chelsea from the Islington office.

Other appointments at the agency include Simone Green as associate director of lettings in Hampstead; Andrew La Personne as a sales associate in Chelsea;  Alex Morrell as a sales and lettings associate in Sheen; Judy Robinson as a lettings associate in Wimbledon; and Jeff Bathija as a sales associate in Hampstead.

Chesterton acquired Humberts at the end of last year and now has a network of 58 offices across the UK, including 27 in London.
