Asking prices increase 3.2%
The average national asking price has increased 3.2% to £229,398 this month, according to Rightmove's latest survey.
Year-on-year, asking prices have increased 6.1%.
Over 90,000 new listings have been added to the portal, which is a 19.8% increase year-on-year, while search activity has hit a record high, with 29% more house hunters having used the site during the same period.
The survey comes as Rightmove reveals that its 2010 profits are likely to be greater than expected due to a substantial increase in average spend per advertiser last month, the impact of increased agency subscription rates and a strong uptake of new display advertising products launched in December.
The portal is due to announce its results for the year to December 31 2009 on February 26.
